And Not Just Once: Listen to the new Catfish And The Bottlemen single, ‘Twice’

On the strength of stellar singles like “Kathleen” and “Cocoon”, Catfish And The Bottlemen did a pretty good job of distancing themselves from the always-busy pack of British guitar-rock band. Now, the English lads are set to prove it was no fluke with second record The Ride, out May 27 via Capitol Records, and today premiered a brand new track called “Twice” on Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 show.

Listen to it below via Apple Music.

“We write every song based around selling tickets not selling albums,” Catfish frontman and guitarist Van McCann tells Lowe in the interview segment after the premiere. “It’s based around the live feel even the song structure… it’s all about making them go nuts in a live scenario.”

That live scenario comes to the States next month, and the Bottlemen hit the festival circuit with a few club dates sprinkled in, including a June 7 appearance at the Met in Pawtucket, Rhode Island.
