Last week the multi-city Riot Fest became everyone’s favorite festivals ever by announcing the previously-thought-to-be-impossible reunion of the classic-era Misfits, which finds key players Glenn Danzig and Jerry Only on stage together for the first time in a million years.
This morning, the Denver and Chicago music spectacular released their full lineups, and it’s a motherfucking doozy.
On board for the September 2 to 4 run at the National Western Complex in Denver, in addition to the Misfits: Ween, Death Cab For Cutie, Jane’s Addition performing Ritual de lo Habitual, Sleater-Kinney, Descendents, Nas, Deftones, Tyler, The Creator, NOFX… and well, just read the flyer below.
Set for September 16 to 18 in Chicago’s Douglas Park, in addition to the Misfits: Morrissey, Ween, Death Cab For Cutie, Rob Zombie performing White Zombie’s Astro-Creep 2000, Brand New, Nas, Deftones, Refused, the Specials… and well, just read the flyer below.
If you’re scoring at home, Boston gets some representation with Big D And The Kid’s Table playing Chicago, and Converge are booked for Denver. But we think that’s it.
And there are a lot of “???” in there, in particular a headlining slot at each fest — a reunited Rage Against The Machine, anyone? — so expect more awesomeness to be served up in the coming week.
Well done, Riot Fest.
