In what is a truly dazzling display of musical deuce, this late-summer cock wagon will feature performances from Trapt, Saliva, Saving Abel, Alien Ant Farm, Crazy Town, 12 Stones and Tantric. It somehow convinced 34 American cities to buy in — good, pure places like Arlington Heights, Illinois and Tooele, Utah — and comes to Massachusetts’ own City of Champions on September 18, where it attempts to fill Campanelli Stadium, home of the minor league Brockton Rox.
Between yesterday’s news of Smash Mouth playing Boston Common this summer and Josh Todd’s new dubstep band Spraygun War, it’s been quite a week in music news. So you can go ahead and make that “Crazy Town at a baseball stadium in Brockton” Facebook event page right now.
