Editor's Note: There's a lot to like about the Converse Rubber Tracks Live series at the Sinclair. For one, it's free, and the headliners are pretty top-notch (The Replacements, Slayer, Big Boi). Two, the series is held at one of the best venues in town. And three, organizers go great lengths to pair up the established headlining act with a young local band that is well on their way to headliner status. Last night, as Deerhunter brought the fire back to Cambridge for the Rubber Tracks Live series' first Boston show of 2016, Boston dream-pop trio Mini Dresses got it all started. We've hyped Mini Dresses in these digital pages quite a bit (and they played our Center of It All Party last spring), so it was great to see them impress a packed house. For a visual look at last nigh's festivities, check out Cara DiFabio's gallery for Vanyaland below, and keep it locked here for word on the next Rubber Tracks party.
