More than two decades in the making, the new single from The Stone Roses has arrived.
It’s called “All For One”, it was recorded at Church Studios in London, and it was produced by Paul Epworth. It’s three minutes and 36 seconds long.
Within the song’s catchy pop realm, there’s a bit of a psych-rock freakout, something between their first two records, and has John Squire’s classic jangly guitar-work before he goes a bit batshit in the solo midway through. Frontman Ian Brown sounds refreshed and recharged, and this won’t feel out of place when they play it June 30 at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
“All For One” was premiered a little before 3 p.m. this afternoon by Annie Mac on BBC Radio 1.
Massive tune.
