Editor's Note: Smashing Pumpkins brought their In Plainsong tour to the Orpheum Theatre on Saturday, and it gave Boston a nice chance to get a bit personal with Billy Corgan. The frontman opened the "acousatic-electro" show on his own, performing solo for the first few songs before being joined by the rest of the Pumpkins. Opener Liz Phair brought the same one-on-one intimacy, and Ben Stas was on hand to capture images of both Corgan and Phair's performance. Check out his gallery below...
