Last year we learned that it's unwise to bring an unlabeled demo to a Noel Gallagher gig. This week we can add a bubble machine to the list of things the former Oasis guitarist frowns upon seeing from the stage.
Gallagher was performing with his High Flying Birds in at Melbourne's Margaret Court Arena in Australia a few nights ago when he stopped his gig mid-set to ask a fan why he was blowing bubbles from the front row.
“Hey El Houdini," Gallagher called out to the man, according to news.com.au and via the NME. "Someone actually brought a fucking bubble machine to a gig... You're a magician? Why don’t you make the fucking bubbles disappear then? Did you pay to get in? Or did you magic yourself through the fucking door. If you bought a ticket you're a shit magician."
Urban Dictionary defines "shit magician" as: "Someone who can turn even the best situation into shit."
According to reports, Gallagher had a feeling that the bubbles would be part of the evening's recaps in the press. "If they mention in the fucking review of this gig that I had a shit bubble machine on stage you’re in fucking big trouble," Gallagher said.
