Doors at 8:30 p.m., 21 to drink, $10 in advance and $15 at the door

How The Night Stacks Up:

After a much-needed day of rest, we'll all be recharged and roaring to Rumble come Thursday's Night 4. And it's a good thing we'll have slept early the night before, as this night's slate is perhaps the most movin' and shakin' of the entire prelim week. There's reckless youth (21st Century Fugitives) and seasoned vets (Abbie Barrett and her band), heavy guitars (I Was Awake) and heavy glitter (Johnny Blazes and the Pretty Boys). It all adds up to a night that's impossible to predict, though we have to admit we could see Barrett winning the whole thing.

I Was Awake have released two EPs; I Was Awake in 2012 and Revenants in 2013. Their single, “The End” was released in late 2015. I Was Awake have finished recording their first full-length album Facade, recorded at New Alliance Audio and Q Division Studios, which is due out spring 2016.

VIDEO YOU NEED TO WATCH: “Seek To Hide”, live at the Spotlight Tavern in Beverly

WHY THEY CAN WIN: Last year, Zip-Tie Handcuffs were the first band announced to play the Rumble on Anngelle Wood’s show — and they won the whole thing (we vividly remember the reveal, because we thought it was cool that a “Z” band was named first). A few weeks ago, I Was Awake were the first band announced. Could they continue the trend? Their hard-charging songs, which at times remind us of Deftones’ finer works, are good enough to capture the judges’ attention, that’s for sure
