In this fleet-footed digital age, typos are everywhere. But thanks to Justin Bieber, they are now showing up on one of the most sacred grounds of pop music: the concert tee.
As Nylon notes, Bieber kicked off his Purpose world tour recently, and a shirt sold at the merch booth has an unfortunate misspelling. The back features a quote from Proverbs 19:21: “Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is God’s purose that prevails.”
Until we are informed just what a “purose” is, we might want to go with those “Sorry” shirts instead. But unfortunately, they won’t be for sale when the Biebs hits the TD Garden on May 10 — the pop star’s team caught wind of the error, and quickly pulled the shirt. Maybe they’ll become collector’s items.
