14th Tale: The Dandy Warhols just released their best song in nearly 16 years

We’re pretty excited for the return of the Dandy Warhols — and given that their April 15 show at the Sinclair sold out quicker than a cocaine heartbeat, it’s clear we’re not alone. A few weeks ago, we lost our collective shit over spunky new single “You Are Killing Me”, and today the Portland rock band has offered up perhaps their finest track since their creative high-point, 2000 masterpiece 13 Tales From Urban Bohemia.

The new song is called “STYGGO”, it has that classic chilled-out Dandys vibe, and it comes with a pretty important message from frontman Courtney Taylor-Taylor, especially in the wake of this week’s Super Tuesday presidential primary election results.

Writes Sir Taylor-Taylor, without holding back:

“The world is full of corporate billionaire scumbags who pollute the Earth, kill wildlife, cause cancer, secretly running nations into the ground, and the moronic masses who just agree with their mindless slogans‎ and will never fight the good fight to help to stop them until finally the last blistered blind three armed mutant dregs of humanity eat each other’s putrid flesh in mankind’s final nauseating death throws… High ho, some things you gotta get over.”

At least we have music to get us by. Listen to “STYGGO” below, and take note, the Dandy Warhols’ new album, Distortland, is out April 8.
