Maine rock and roll duo When Particles Collide have a legit fuckton of shows coming up. So what better way to advertise a consistently full-frontal-awesome live show than by releasing a downloadable live album?
That’s the approach from singer/guitarist Sasha Alcott and drummer Chris Viner, which paired news of their March tour with a seven-track live album called, simply and without bullshit, Live At The Sinclair. The recording is from a September 20 show at the Harvard Square rock club, when the duo opened for The Strokes’ Albert Hammond Jr.
“For Valentine’s we wanted to give it to you,” the band writes. “For free!”
Once the hook settles in, take note: When Particles Collide play Township’s vinyl release party at Great Scott on February 26 with Sidewalk Driver, then head out on a 14-date March tour that begins in Salem (March 4) and wraps in Youngstown, Ohio (March 19). They’re back in Massachusetts for the Life Electric’s record release party, with Oh, Malo, March 25 at Great Scott.
Close your eyes and live those future shows right here in the present.
