Boston reverb-rock band Magic Shoppe want to hypnotize you. Whether you use your eyes or ears is up to you, but there is a warning label attached: applying both at the same time can yield dangerously delicious results.
Setting the mood for the Friday release of Magic Shoppe’s new EP Interstellar Car Crash and the release party the following night at Great Scott in Allston, the psych-minded quintet recently released a colorful new video for the cyclonic single “City Alight (Yeah)”. We recommend you feast your eyes on the clip below, or keep them closed and let the glow fill your earholes.
Interstellar Car Crash, meanwhile, is issued digitally by Toronto’s Optical Sounds label and pressed on 10-inch white vinyl, which should be available at Saturday’s party.
