Though no one really knows when Radiohead’s rather mysterious ninth studio album will be released — it can be today, it can be weeks or months from now — one thing seems certain: We’ll have new music from the British rock band in time for festival season.
It was announced this morning that Radiohead will headline early June’s Primavera Sound 2016 in Barcelona (alongside LCD Soundsystem, Sigur Ros, PJ Harvey, Tame Impale, and Suede), as well as lead the lineup for Swiss music fest OpenAir St. Gallen, set for June 30 to July 3.
This morning, Consequence Of Sound, which broke the LCD Soundsystem reunion news last year, reports that Radiohead will also embark on a tour of North America in July. There will also be a handful of Stateside festival dates in their itinerary, and one possible landing spot is New York’s Panorama, a new East Coast festival from the organizers of Coachella.
Radiohead’s new LP is rumored to be titled Dawn Chorus, and it’ll be their first since 2011’s King Of Limbs. The band’s last live show came in 2012.
