There’s absolutely nothing surprising about the songs Glenn Danzig decides to take on, though of any Bowie cuts, “Cat People” makes the most sense as it was easily his most goth-leaning composition, done for the 1982 film of the same name. Obviously this is going to have a harder edge to it, appearing on the 2007 collection The Lost Tracks of Danzig. And late last year, upon releasing his long-awaited covers record Skeletons, Danzig paid further homage by modeling the artwork as a nod to Bowie’s own covers album, Pinups.
