8. Willow, “Room Girl”

Off of their debut LP Nocturnal House that was released last week, Willow’s “Room Girl” is a math rock masterpiece that absolutely shreds. Trevor White is thunderous on bass, laying down a powerful foundation on a wonderfully complex song. What will really get you locked on is the riff from Seth Chapdelaine at the 2:22 mark, it’s a tad short but it holds a groove that’ll mesmerize you. There’s a constant evolution of parts building on top of each other to eventually reach a climax. It all makes for an enjoyable ride once you plug in and listen.
