9. Dylan Sevey & The Gentlemen, “Here Goes Nothing”

Dylan Sevey has made a name for himself as one of the best songwriters in Providence since the beginning of the decade. Either playing solo or with his band of Gentlemen, Sevey has a knack for captivating an audience with his smooth, flowing voice and by putting his heart into everything he does. Off of their second album New Mischief that came out this past April, “Here Goes Nothing” can make you dance. Brendan Moore on the keys and David Ponte on lead guitar give it a pep in its step. Steve Ellis on bass and Keaton Albro on drums keep the rhythms at a jumping pace. What really makes this one great is Sevey’s Motown-esque delivery on vocals.
