9. CHRVCHES, “Leave a Trace” [Glassnote Records]

Lauren Mayberry and company returned in 2015 with an album full of catchy as hell hooks, synth-pop goodness oozing over the brilliant lyricism that the band made their stamp on with their freshman debut, 2013’s The Bones of What You Believe. “Leave a Trace” is Every Open Eye’s first single and shimmers with synths and a chorus that gets stuck in your head for days for all the right reasons.
