8. BULLY, Feels Like [Columbia/StarTime International]
I think everybody — probably including me — who wrote anything about this album compared it to the products of somesuch ‘90s alterna-rock bands. Now that I think about it, doesn’t a lot of Pixies and Sonic Youth bleed through on Feels Like? Couldn’t those, arguably, be considered ‘80s bands instead? And do we suddenly all think guitar bands just magically went away in the ‘00s? I know for a fact that there were at least seven guitar bands in the ‘00s. Bully is pretty great, even though everyone who writes about them is a liar.
