CHVRCHES are capping off a pretty big 2015. The Scottish electronic-pop trio released one of the best albums of the year in September’s Every Open Eye, headlined a slew of major music festivals around the world (including Boston Calling in September), and saw singer Lauren Mayberry emerge as one of the most important and fearless voices in music. We even had a Boston band, Telelectrix, perform their hits at our recent Halloween party.
Last night, CHVRCHES performed one of the many Every Open Eye standouts, the pulsating “Clearest Blue,” live on the Late Late Show with James Corden. “Clearest Blue” is the rare electronic-pop track that might actually sound better live than recorded, and once again the trio shows why they lead the genre as one of the best bands of the era.
