‘One’ for U2: Watch Miley Cyrus and Jessie J sing with Bono and the Edge at Carnegie Hall

With her Dead Petz rolling into town this weekend, Miley Cyrus is set to get weird Sunday night at Boston’s House of Blues. But she was a bit more subdued — and a bit forgetful — last night at Carnegie Hall in New York City, where she and fellow pop vocalist Jessie J joined Bono, the Edge, and the Orchestra of St. Luke’s to close out an all-star charity event.

Celebrating the work of the global organizations ONE and (RED), both co-founded by the U2 frontman, the night coincided with World AIDS Day. Rolling Stone has a fairly comprehensive recap of the event, which also featured performances by Hozier, Cyrus, and Jessie J, and appearances by Daily Show host Trevor Noah, Vice President Joe Biden, and Bill and Melinda Gates (among others).

But it’s that close-out collab that’s making the rounds today, thanks to some slick balcony video from Claire Butler.

Writes Rolling Stone: “During a climactic version of ‘One,’ Bono brought out Jessie J to sing one verse and Cyrus another. When it became clear that Cyrus didn’t know all the lyrics, Bono, ever the gentleman, swooped in and sang the part himself. In keeping with the theme of the night, it was a moment of in-this-together teamwork.”

Oh, Miley. Maybe we’ll get a do-over on Sunday.
