This afternoon, the legendary musician has revealed the first single from his upcoming album, Blackstar, and the moody 10-minute-long title track shows some real promise and intrigue around the 4:40 mark.
Blackstar will be Bowie’s 26th studio album, and it released January 8, his 67th birthday. The album artwork — white for the compact disc and black for the vinyl — is also posted below. Blackstar is reported to feature seven songs, has a bit of a jazzy feel, and was recorded at New York’s Magic Shop studio. The title track doubles as the theme music for Sky Atlantic’s new heist drama The Last Panthers.
