Editor’s Note: Riding high off the fall release of her debut album Sorry, Meg Myers rolled into the Middle East in Cambridge last Thursday as one of the new faces of the blossoming alt-pop scene. The Los Angeles performer, armed with hits like “Lemon Eyes,” “Desire,” and the LP’s title track, packed the Cambridge club’s downstairs room, giving the Middle East a bit of West Coast pizazz. To balance things out, Boston’s own Ruby Rose Fox showed how we do it on this side of the county, and the combined forces of Myers and Fox proved a dynamic showing of powerhouse vocalists. Vanyaland’s Eddy Leiva was there to snap visual evidence.
