The countdown is on to David Bowie’s new single, ‘★’.
The first cut from the Duke’s latest album of the same name, pronounced “Blackstar” and out January 8, the track will be premiered November 19 at Nitehawk Cinema in Brooklyn alongside an official accompanying short film directed by The Last Panthers’ Johan Renck.

But those not in the New York area next week won’t be left out, per Bowie’s publicity team at Nasty Little Man: “The ‘★’ video will premiere globally simultaneously starting from 3:50 p.m. ET with a U.S. broadcast premiere on Palladia as part of a David Bowie video hour beginning at 3 p.m. ET, with a repeat airing at 8:50 p.m. ET that evening. A countdown website, imablackstar.com, has also been launched, though not much more than the countdown clock is featured. Of course, that can very quickly change, so keep it locked.
