So far this month, news about Lush has been limited to holiday cosmetics shopping and the bushy mustaches of the Movember movement. Today, finally, we have some news as it relates to the reformed British rock band: Lush will be coming to North America later next year for a September 14 live date at Terminal 5 in New York City.
Tickets go on sale this Friday. Lush follow in the steps of fellow reformed shoegazers Ride, who played the Manhattan venue before launching a full-on North American tour later in 2015.
There are rumors that a Boston or New England-area date around the confirmed New York show could be announced shortly, though nothing is public at this time. The news of at least one show on our side of the Atlantic comes mere weeks after it was announced that Lush would reform and play two gigs at the Roundhouse in London on May 6 and 7, their first since disbanding in 1998.
UPDATE 6:47 p.m.: More are on the way.
More North American shows are currently being planned which we hope to unveil in the not too distant future so hang in there…

In other Lush news, the band’s greatest hits album, Ciao, will be re-issued on limited-edition red vinyl for Record Store Day’s Black Friday shopping holiday later this month, and a career-spanning 5-CD box set titled Chorus will be released in January. More on those releases here.
