The last time we caught up with Samira Winter, two years ago this past August, the Boston resident was getting ready to pack up and relocate to Los Angeles. Since then, the Brazilian native has fulfilled the promise she showed on a 2012 EP collaboration with Infinity Girl’s Nolan Eley, releasing the band Winter’s debut LP, Supreme Blue Dream, via Los Angeles’ Lolipop Records earlier this year, and recently singing with the A-team at Burger Records.
Winter’s latest effort, the hypnotic single “All The Things You Do,” out last month via Burger, checks all the usual dream-pop boxes: lush, gazy, hazy, lovely and spacey. Watch the video below.
Of course, we mention all this today because Winter is back in town tonight, the latest stop on the band’s ongoing tour with SideOneDummy indie-pop singer-songwriter Allison Weiss. She plays ONCE at Cuisine En Locale in Somerville, and the Facebook event page warns us that it’s an early show, so roll up hungry for ‘gaze and don’t be late.
