Last night’s Boston Bruins season opener didn’t go so well for the home team, but it sure sounded good at the start.
Fresh off their headlining set at our Sound Of Our Town music festival last month, Tribe Society provided the soundtrack for the Bruins’ annual video opener, which blared through TD Garden just before the players took to the ice for the first time in the 2015-2016 season. Highlights of years past were paired with Tribe Society’s recent single “Kings”, and if you weren’t at the old barn last night for the disappointing 6-2 loss to the Winnipeg Jets, you can watch it below via the Bruins’s twitter. It’s posted on the Bruins’ Facebook page as well.
Meanwhile, “Kings” has seemed to align nicely with pro sports promotion. We swear we’ve heard it during one of the cable TV networks’ Major League Baseball playoff advertisements, as well. Or maybe it was a baseball video game. Either way, Tribe Society’s debut EP, Lucid Dreams, is out now.
The #NHLBruins took the ice tonight following our new video opener, with music by @TribeSociety. Watch:
