Yesterday we predicted a big few weeks ahead for CHVRCHES, what with the September 25 releases of Every Open Eye, their appearance at Boston Calling Music Festival two weeks from tomorrow, and Massachusetts electronic-pop act Telelectrix‘ turn as the Scottish pop group at our second-annual Halloween party next month.
Now even Muse are getting into the action.
Yesterday the English rock band covered CHVRCHES’ 2013 track “Lies,” off debut LP The Bones Of What You Believe, for BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge sessions with Clara Amfo. It definitely sounds like Muse covering CHVRCHES, and that’s kinda what you’d expect. Maybe a collaboration will one day be in order.
Meanwhile, Muse, who are currently on tour in Europe supporting their new record, have announced some early 2016 dates for the “Drones World Tour,” which takes them to arenas and big rooms around the UK, Spain, Italy, Portugal, and Czech Republic. The show will apparently feature drones and a middle stage that “will give fans a true 360 degree audio/visual sensory experience.”
Cool.
