There’s always a bit of a panic this time of year: Summer is almost over. Soon the frigid winter chill will swallow us whole, sending us into a frozen delirium that cannot thaw until Memorial Day. And now here we are in Boston, staring down autumn and clutching the last days of summer like a petulant child clinging to his or her favorite blanket for one last fleeting feeling of comfort.
Throughout the summer, our comfort blanket has been the series of Pool Parties at the Verb Hotel we’ve been hosting all season, and now as the clock winds down on Outdoor Time it’s time for one Last Splash in the water: Join us Saturday, August 29 from high noon to 4 p.m. for the third and final Pool Party of the year.
We have an extra hour to stay soaked, there is no Red Sox game next door to creep on our style, and complimentary libations will be provided by Downeast Cider House and Notch Brewing Company. The Verb’s brand new restaurant, Hojoko, will be providing tasty treats.
Seriously, this is a good fucking time. You’ve seen the photo galleries. You saw the revelry. You were like “Damn, I gotta hit up the next one.” Well, this is your invitation.
