Update 11:33 a.m.: We’ve modified the headline to salute their ability to overcome the insect attack. We would have booked it out of there faster than the Nope Octopus. But Little Mix finished the song. Hat tip.
Where are the fans when you need them?
British singing group Little Mix got an unexpected stage crasher during a radio station gig in Arizona after the weekend, when a flying insect got up close and personal.
Little Mix were performing 2013 UK hit “How Ya Doin?” at a Live 101.5 radio event in Phoenix on Sunday, but midway through “the biggest bug we’ve ever seen” nearly derailed the performance.
Admirably, the ladies kept at it and finished the damn song, and it’s refreshing to see they definitely weren’t lip-syncing.
“Can we just give Jade [Thirlwall] a round of applause because she carried on with a bug in her hair,” singer Jesy Nelson tells the crowd after the song wraps up. Adds the others: “I’ve never seen anything like that before” … “it was literally burrowing itself into her hair.”
Get the RAID.
