Next weekend Great White will be playing a very controversial show in Maine, performing in New England for the first time since the tragic 2003 Station Nightclub fire. About 3,000 miles west on the opposite corner of the country, a few dozen fellow hair metal bands will be together in Southern California celebrating maybe the genre’s biggest show ever.
And today, that party — August 15’s Cathouse Live at Irvine Meadows, organized by Riki Rachtman’s Cathouse and presented by SiriusXM’s Hair Nation — released its set times for this grand, 25-band, everyone’s-invited mega-shitshow.
It’s everything we could ever hope for.
Just scan the list below, and feel the Dokken tension. Eyeball that Tracii Guns vs L.A. Guns showdown. Marvel at the thought of getting Marq Torien of BulletBoys on stage at 2:30 in the afternoon (between a Battle of the Bands winner and Trixter, no less… no respect). And wonder if former/ringer/holdover members of Skid Row, Cinderella, and RATT will show up uninvited to ruin it for everyone.
Is Metal Sludge still around, because holy shit do we need it now more than ever.
“Riki Rachtman’s World Famous Cathouse returns to Southern California for one night of debauchery with Cathouse Live At Irvine Meadows, which will feature band performances on two stages, VIP Meet and Greets, a vendor village, a chopper motorcycle show, go-go dancers, and more.” Fuck yeah it will.

The Cathouse Live Battle of the Bands winners–Swamphammer and The Aviators–were chosen Tuesday, July 14 at the infamous Whisky A Go-Go on the Sunset Strip in West Hollywood, CA. Celebrity rock judges Riki Rachtman (Cathouse), Paul Gargano (Metal Edge), DJ Will (KNAC), and Danny Dangerous (The Zeros) decided which bands were the best fit for Cathouse Live.
Tickets for Cathouse Live At Irvine Meadows are on sale now at www.CathouseLive.com and start at just $15 plus fees. As an added bonus, those who show a Cathouse Live ticket at the door have the chance to attend Riki Rachtman’s official Cathouse Live Pre-Party at Saint Felix (1602 North Cahuenga Blvd.) in Hollywood on Thursday, August 13. Doors open at 9 p.m. and space is limited.
Get pumped.
