Earlier this year, Boston trio Rozamov had one of the most enviable slots in metal: Opening for Slayer and Doomriders during Converse Rubber Tracks Live series at the Sinclair. The band, which just turned four years old this past weekend, held their mighty own on the Cambridge stage, and alongside Doomriders probably showed Tom Araya and Kerry King that Boston can hold it down with anyone in the arena of metal.
Building on that appearance and a May split 7-inch with Deathkings, Rozamov are now headed into the studio to complete work on their new LP. Billed as “the heaviest material the band have created to date,” the new Rozamov is getting the treatment at New Alliance Audio in Cambridge, under the craft of Jon Taft (Morne, Horrible Earth).
To work out any last-minute kinks along the way, Rozamov have also announced a short October tour with California’s Destroy Judas and Trapped Within Burning Machinery, but not before laying waste to Allston’s Great Scott at an August 19 show with Ringworm and White Widows Pact.
Check out “Ghost Divine” from their aforementioned split after the full run of tour dates.
