The ever-elusive Boston heat wave has finally hit our fine city, making it not only the best day ever to get out of the office and out to the beach but also enjoy some news from Wavves. Earlier today, Nathan Williams detailed Wavves’ new record V — we certainly approve of that title — commemorating the guitar-pop project’s fifth studio album.
Hear lead track “Way Too Much” via YouTube below.
V will hit shelves both digital and physical come October 2 via Ghost Ramp/Caroline, three days before Wavves play the Paradise Rock Club with Twin Peaks and Steep Leans. The new album is produced by Woody Jackson (Mini Mansions), and the Line Of Best Fit relays word that it’s billed as a “full-band effort”.
Fire up “Way Too Much” and apply that sonic suntan lotion without fear.
