From Lorde to the Weeknd to Echosmith, Taylor Swift’s 1989 Tour has been filled with surprise special guests. Now we can add two rather unexpected names to the growing “wish list” of performers we’d like to see up there with Tay-Tay as she shakes it off across North America: Ultimate BFFs Sir Ian McKellen and Sir Patrick Stewart.
The pair, both armed with some of the most powerful voices in mankind, have started reciting lyrics to Swift’s recent hits “Bad Blood” and “Blank Space.”
Can you say power trio?
Stewart busted out “Blank Space” for NPR’s Ask Me Another, which you can hear below via Soundcloud (the episode airs August 20), while McKellen showed love to “Bad Blood” via Yahoo.
“May we join the squad, @taylorswift13?,” Stewart asked via Twitter?
Swift happily accepted, posting a collage of the best buds together around the world: “Thanks for reciting my lyrics, @IanMcKellen and @SirPatStew! You’ve made my day. You two are ULTIMATE Squad Goals.”
Check out both performances below, and take note: Swift comes to Gillette Stadium on July 25 and 25.
