A few weeks ago Say Lou Lou announced a fall tour that hits Brighton Music Hall in September, and naturally, we were excited. Now the September 11 show has entered the “can’t miss” category, as rising electro-pop singer Phoebe Ryan has been added to 12 of Say Lou Lou’s 13 North American dates (sorry Chicago).
The Texas-born, Jersey-raised, Los Angeles-based Ryan has been hot on our playlists for the past several weeks with “Mine,” the title track of her recent EP, and don’t even get us started on that insane R. Kelly / Miguel mashup of hers, “Ignition/Do You.”
“I feel like I’ve been waiting forever and ever to put out my own music, to make it official,” Ryan told Billboard after the release of “Mine” back in February. “And now everything’s starting to get super real. One of my favorite songs I’ve ever written is now out in the world. And people seem to like it!”
Ryan has been described as a nice mix of the best parts of both Tove Lo and Ellie Goulding, and this tour should be a nice introduction to the next big star of alt-pop. Check out “Mine” below, as well as Ryan’s dates with Say Lou Lou below….
