Earlier this year Catfish And The Bottlemen released a video for “Hourglass” starring Ewan McGregor, a clip that even let the actor sing a little bit. Now, giving us flashbacks to McGregor’s singing roles in Velvet Goldmine and Moulin Rouge, the band and man have hooked up again on a follow-up video, this time with McGregor taking on the vocals entirely.
Put your TV Eye on the video below.
Catfish and McGregor seem to have hit it off, with the British band speaking highly of the actor after their work together on the original video.
“Honestly working with Sir Ewan was one of the funnest things I think I’ll ever get to do,” Catfish And The Bottlemen frontman Van McCann told the NME. “He’s the most interesting and interested guy I’ve ever met.”
McCann added: “He’s just fucking brilliant. Total gentleman! When people tell you not to meet the people you look up to, fuck that! He genuinely buzzes off the band. Sends me photos of him listening to us before he walks onstage on his endless run of sold out Broadway. And he likes my lyrics! Honestly, I love him. It all makes me laugh my head off.”
Catfish And The Bottlemen return to Boston with an October 16 show at Royale.
