Vanyaland Premiere: Tigerman WOAH team up with Lynn youth arts organization Raw Art Works in ‘Koopa’

Tigerman WOAH are taking the party to perhaps the most magical land in all of Massachusetts — the Salem Willows.

The historic seaside park and its old-school arcades are one of the recognizable locations in the Lynn band’s new music video for “Koopa”, the opening track off March EP, Up South Vol. III. Though the song is about singer/guitarist Kaz’s beloved late cat, Koopa, the video has a different kind of billing: It’s described as “Bad kids doing good things,” or, as the more-detailed tagline states: “Fueled by a fever dream, a young man sneaks out with his friends, finding himself thrown into a night of fun, friendship and adventure.”

The video was created by Tony Peguero and Rajeev Phok, two teenagers from Lynn’s Raw Art Works organization.

“TigermanWOAH was approached by the Real to Reel film team at Raw Art Works to make a video for a final project,” the band tells Vanyaland. “RAW is an art program that works to give underserved youth in Lynn an opportunity to succeed through expression in many different mediums. We gave them total creative control. They came back to us with the dream/party treatment. So we threw a party. We are very thankful for, and very proud of, the work that the kids and staff at RAW have done for years to help the community and each other.”

And Koopa even has a cameo at the end…
