New England is a no-go for Catfish & the Bottlemen.
The North Wales guitar-rock band was denied entry into the United States over the weekend, resulting in the cancellation of tonight’s show at the Met in Pawtucket and tomorrow night’s sold-out show at the Sinclair in Cambridge. A show in Washington, DC, was also affected.
Here’s the statement from the band, which they posted via social media over the weekend:
We should be on a plane to America right now about to play 4 back to back sold out shows but we’re not being let in to the country. We have been sorting this out for months but due to technicalities way way out of our control, there is a delay in us getting our US VISA’s. We are all so frustrated but we now can’t get into the US until later in the week.
The shows affected next week are Washington DC, Providence and Cambridge MA. Please check back to your original ticket seller for more information. We are so sorry and trust us there’s no one as annoyed about this than us! Hope to see you all soon and hope this hasn’t caused too much of a headache for anyone. Big love from all of us in the Catfish camp. HQ Bot. xx
For the Cambridge show, refunds are available through Bowery Boston at the point of purchase.
Sorry, Kathleen.
