Getting Louder: Here are the first 18 bands confirmed to play the 2015 Boston Fuzzstival

Over the past few years, the Boston Fuzzstival has been one of our city’s best showcases of psych, garage rock, and [enter whatever else applies here]-pop. Last year it packed in 15 bands over 12 hours at the Middle East (Upstairs in the afternoon, Downstairs at night), and this year the Cambridge fest has grown even larger.

The 2015 edition of the Fuzzstival goes down over three days — August 6 and 7 at the Mid East Up, and August 8 across two stages at the Mid East Down — which means there’s more room to breathe, and the ability to showcase more bands.

With the extra days locked in, we’re told this year’s Fuzzstival will feature more than 30 bands and artists.

Organizer Jason Trefts of the Middle East and Illegally Blind Productions has been slowly unveiling the lineup via social media, so since we’re just about at the midway point, we figured it was time to take a look and see what the #Fuzz15 lineup has in store so far.

Taking part this year are (in no particular order):

DrugRug (reunion!)
Bloodshot BILL
Ghost Box Orchestra
The Barbazons (formerly the Fagettes)
The TeleVibes
The Mystery Lights
Beware the Dangers of a Ghost Scorpion!
Zip-Tie Handcuffs (Rock And Roll Rumble winners)
Mini Dresses
Soft Eyes

That’s a pretty stellar list. Trefts says the full schedule and day lineups will be announced over the next few weeks, so stay tuned. Here’s a look back at last year’s fun fun fun…
