This morning, gripped by spring fever, we asked Google if rabbits hibernate for the winter. And Yahoo Answers delivered the goods: “Rabbits or hares do not hibernate at all, but they do become less active to conserve energy, but they do not hibernate.”
Boston’s Bad Rabbits have taken the same course, laying low over the past few months since their New Year’s Eve party at the Paradise Rock Club, only to re-emerge this week with a funk-jam wrecking ball of a new tune in the Teddy Riley-produced “Way With Words.”
The track is available for free download via Soundcloud, and it’s a suitable weekend kickstarter.
The crew have a trio of live shows coming up next month, including a June 27 local date at the Middle East in Cambridge, sandwiched between shows in Los Angeles (June 25) and New York (June 28), where Bad Rabbits promise “new music, new show.” The band’s debut album, American Love, celebrates turning two next week, and the follow-up should be out later this year (we hope).
