We don’t have the exact number, but a lot of people around Boston got this message yesterday: “Thank you for your interest in Converse Rubber Tracks Live Boston! Unfortunately, you did not get tickets to Converse Rubber Tracks Live Boston. However, we will be back soon with more free concerts! Visit Converse Music to sign up for news on upcoming events and to see what Converse Rubber Tracks has been up to all over the world!”
For those who hoped to win passes to see the Replacements at the Sinclair, a group of Boston musicians are offering up the next best thing: A ‘Mats cover set.
I Hate Music, a Boston rock supergroup featuring members of Mean Creek, the Dazies, and recent Rumblers Dan Webb & The Spiders, will host “Hootenanny” on Saturday, May 2 at O’Brien’s Pub in Allston.
“We all pretty much missed out on The Replacements show,,” says the invite, “so lezzzzz party!”
Word up.
More bands will be announced as the date draws near. Now all we need are Passion Pit, Slayer, Chance The Rapper, and Descendents covers shows to pop up in the next week or so.
