After rumors, reunion announcements, and an unplugged warm-up show, Ride finally returned to the stage over the weekend. The British shoegaze legends kickstarted their 2015 comeback with a hometown show at Oxford’s O2 Academy, and video of “OX4” has already surfaced online.
Last week Ride announced an extended North American tour, which includes an appearance at Coachella Music & Arts Festival and two New York dates, June 1 at Brooklyn’s Music Hall of Williamsburg and June 4 at Terminal 5 in Manhattan. There is no Boston show just yet.
This past weekend’s show was their first plugged-in appearance in roughly 20 years, and you can peep the 18-song set list after the video.
