Just as we predicted last week when a sudden Salt Lake City appearance was announced, Morrissey’s random stateside shows have blossomed into a full coast-to-coast tour. And this time he’s bringing Blondie and Amanda Palmer, who is expecting her first child come September, out with him.
Mozzer will play 18 dates this June and July, with Blondie opening a Madison Square Garden show in New York City on June 27 and Amanda Palmer supporting a July 25 closing date at San Jose’s Event Center.
Massachusetts gets some love, but it comes west of Boston, as Moz plays the 111-year-old Hanover Theatre in Worcester on June 24. No openers have been announced just yet, but Do617 says tickets go on sale April 10 through Live Nation and are priced at $49.50 to $79.50.
Last year, Morrissey performed at the Boston Opera House amid a series of cancellations, health issues, and opening-act accusations.
