Rihanna is back, and she wants her money.
The singer dropped her new single today, “Bitch Better Have My Money,” and it’s clear she DGAF about this one topping the Billboard charts. The track is a sharply uneven call to arms, heavy on the bass and light on melody. It was co-written with Bibi Bourelly, produced by Roc Nation’s Deputy, and track samples the AMG ’90s hit that inspired its name.
“Bitch Better Have My Money” is allegedly the first taste of Rhi Rhi’s eighth studio album, executive produced by Kanye West, which as Stereogum notes, may or may not be called R8. While “Bitch Better Have My Money” debuted on radio today, the album isn’t expected until later this year (which means it could drop tomorrow, who knows?)
Rihanna teased the song yesterday by posting the artwork on Facebook with the tags #BBHMM and #R8, and you can listen to the unseasonal jam below via a radio rip and Soundcloud account named after Nicki Minaj.
Hey, whatever.
