Rarely do a few days go by where we aren’t thinking about Meg Myers’ music.
The captivating Los Angeles singer/songwriter became entrenched in our head spaces after releasing powerful 2013 single “Desire”, which, in all of its unedited glory, has since become a staple of VanyaRadio playlists.
Now Myers is preparing her upcoming major label debut for Atlantic Records, titled Sorry, and the title track is another emotionally-charged apocalyptic ballad, mechanically floating somewhere between the worlds of Downward Spiral-era Nine Inch Nails and brooding electronic pop.
Myers takes this sound — this massive, all-encompassing, and downright sinister sound — on the road this spring, and one of the first dates is a May 12 appearance at T.T. The Bear’s Place in Cambridge.
We’re sweating at just the thought of it.
