Fuzzy Future: Super Furry Animals release two mysterious videos hinting at a comeback

It’s time to start brushing up on our Welsh, because it appears Super Furry Animals are planning… something. The artsy alt-rock band, which broke onto the scene with 1996’s Fuzzy Logic and have been in hiatus since 2010, have been posting mysterious videos to YouTube this week, with today’s titled “Deffro’r arth o’i drwmgwsg” — which Google translate converts into “Woke from his slumber bear.”

A video posted two days ago is named “If you go down to the woods today..” and both clips feature an inflatable bear similar to the critter that graced the cover of the Super Furries 1997 album Radiator.

In recent years, the band’s members have focused on solo efforts, other projects, and even a craft beer called Fuzzy. The last Super Furry Animals record was 2009’s Dark Days/Light Years, and their homepage doesn’t suggest anything new to report. But we’re definitely due… for something, so stay tuned.
