Following in the footsteps of the likes of Roseanne Barr, Charlie Sheen, and James Franco, pop star and virtual human punching bag Justin Bieber will soon be roasted by Comedy Central.
Ryan Seacrest broke the news of the long-awaited roast this morning, with Rolling Stone confirming that the TV special will air on Comedy Central on March 7.
“Justin has been asking us for a few years to roast him, and we just kept telling him to go create more source material first,” says network president Kent Alterman, via Vibe. “We’re thrilled he listened.”
No word on who will line up take part just yet, but we can’t imagine there will be any shortage of willing participants.
Here’s word from Seacrest:

Over the weekend, SNL parodied Bieber’s recent Calvin Klein ad, with the singer taking it all in stride, firing a “well played” and an “LOL” back to the show via Twitter. But it’s bound to get a lot worse come March, much to everyone’s enjoyment.
Comedy Central’s last roast was Franco’s back in 2013.
@nbcsnl well played. Lol.
