The Pizza Underground wrapped up the final show of their current tour tonight in Boston, and we’re told the sold-out Brighton Music Hall crowd was informed of some future plans regarding the pizza-themed Velvet Underground cover band’s ringleader, Macaulay Culkin: a Billy Joel tribute band with songs reworked with a feline slant.
This new Pizza Underground side project will apparently be called Pussy Joel.
After all, today is Caturday.
We’re not entirely sure if Culkin and crew were serious or not (some in the crowd assured us they were joking), but at this point in the game, anything is possible for the Home Alone star. And after completing a few well-received and well-sold tours with Pizza Underground, why not embrace a new project that combines the Piano Man and feline puns? It’s kinda purr-fect.
So we’ll just assume this is legit until Culkin declares otherwise.
Meanwhile, the show in Boston wasn’t short on excitement and spectacle. Culkin apparently handed out pizza slices to the crowd, reportedly provided by Bravo Pizzeria next door to Brighton Music Hall, and the reformed actor even made out with tour mate Har Mar Superstar at one point in the night.
We’ll post video of any of the above anecdotes when they become available.

Macaulay Culkin just handed out free pizza to the audience. The night has taken an odd turn.
