Last time Petty Morals teamed up with an Anngelle Wood operation, they rode a wave of synth and fistful of “hey!” to the finals of the Rock And Roll Rumble. Now Boston’s first ladies of synth-punk are back with a new single, “Just A Game,” which is featured on an upcoming compilation for Wood’s community organization, Keep Safe Boston.

The comp drops November 11, will benefit Planned Parenthood League of Massachusetts, and features new and exclusive tracks from Parlour Bells (“Wetware”), Blackbutton (“Hospital Stay”), White Dynomite (“Look Out Below”), the Rationales (“All The While”), Apple Betty (“Skin Of My Teeth”), and others.

Keep Safe Boston gets the record release party treatment on Human Rights Day, December 10, at Brighton Music Hall in Allston. The Keep Safe Boston launch event will feature live performances by 2014 Boston Music Award nominees Parlour Bells and the Color and Sound, as well as Corin Ashley (of The Pills!), Drab and Jass Bianchi. Boston comedian Jody Sloane will host, and Club GRCB, a band of Girls Rock Camp Boston participants, will open.

Here’s more on the cause, with the new Petty Morals jam after the jump…

Keep Safe Boston intends to remind us to look out for one another, and to give voice to the issues that affect us. The organization’s motivating inspiration is to honor the memory of the women lost in the Brookline clinic shootings in 1994 – the anniversary of which is this December. For more information, visit keepsafeboston.org, the Facebook fan page at Facebook.com/KeepSafeBoston, and follow @keepsafeboston on Twitter.

Meanwhile, catch Petty Morals live and in action on December 5 at Opus Underground in Salem with Party Bois, When Particles Collide, and Pocket Tanya.
