Back in the ’90s, the great Jarvis Cocker of Pulp once sang “This isn’t chocolate boxes and roses, it’s dirtier than that.” Which is exactly what we think every time we discuss the Voltage Factory here at Vanya HQ, our new radio program that strips away the hot pink and girl-pop and offers two straight hours of rock, punk, metal, classics, and whatever else host Michael Christopher throws into his evil cauldron of sounds.
The show premiered last Wednesday with an encore broadcast tonight at 10 p.m. EST, and from here on out follows a Wednesday and Monday schedule. In case you missed it, the playlist for the #VoltFac’s maiden voyage is below.
“We opened as always with the Top 5 Trending #VoltFac Tracks, the Classic Album Spotlight was The Afghan Whigs Gentlemen, there was a doubleshot of Nine Inch Nails and the Killer Cover had Local H covering Lorde’s massive hit ‘Team,'” reports Mick Chris.
This Wednesday’s show “will be presenting a special Halloween themed episode with some of the most notorious musicians who could very well launch their own horror business,” he adds. “We’re talking Danzig, Ozzy and Rob Zombie among others.”
