Soul Action: Eli ‘Paperboy’ Reed debuts new song ‘The Difference’ via Michael Jordan Training ad

It was just back in April when Eli “Paperboy” Reed dropped his latest studio record, Nights Like This, but the Boston-born soul man already has a crushing new song that premieres this week via a just-unveiled JORDAN Training ad campaign.

In the two-minute video, dubbed “The Football Family,” Reed’s “The Difference” plays on as several high-profile National Football League stars like Dez Bryant, Andre Johnson, Michael Crabtree, Hakeem Nicks, and Charles Woodson roll up to the Michael Jordan Building in Beaverton, Oregon, and hit the practice field.

Check out the ad below, as well as a Soundcloud link to just the song.

While the NFL season kicks off next weekend, Reed himself hits the green grass of Lawn On D on October 4 when he performers at the Vanyaland-curated Sound Of Our Town party in South Boston, which kicks off the 2014 Boston Music Awards voting season.
